Frequently Asked Questions

What are your rates?

50 minute individual session: $200

50 minute couples or family session: $225

Do you have a sliding scale?

Yes, I maintain a set number of sliding scale spots for folks who need it. Please inquire to ask if any are available.

Do you take insurance?

No, I'm not in network with any insurance companies, but I can give you a superbill (receipt) which you can submit to your insurance company. Many PPO plans will provide at least partial reimbursement for therapy sessions. If you have questions about your benefits, please call your insurance provider and ask if they reimburse for out of network outpatient psychotherapy. It may be helpful to also ask what your deductible is (if you have one) and if sessions would be applied to your deducible before you receive reimbursement.

Do you offer in person therapy?

At this time I offer online therapy only.

Is Online Therapy Really Effective?

Absolutely. In addition to the added convenience, being in the comfort of your own home can allow for many added resources. You'll have access to all of the things (pillows, your favorite chair, blankets, tea, pets) that help you feel the most grounded. The tools and techniques that I use for nervous system regulation and trauma treatment can absolutely be done virtually, and sometimes being virtual actually makes it easier.

How often would we meet?

I meet with clients once per week. Every other week tends to make it difficult to maintain a thread and make consistent progress.

What is your cancelation policy?

I have a 24 hour cancelation policy. Please note that if you don't show up for a session or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be charged the full session fee.

Do you work with children?

I generally work with children ages 12 and up, though I am open to working with younger ages in certain cases.
